D-Link 8-Port Gigabit Smart Managed PoE Switch with 4 PoE+ Ports – Intelligent Power & Performance for Business Networks

The D-Link DGS-1100-08P 8-Port Gigabit Smart Managed PoE Switch is a compact, high-performance networking solution purpose-built for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) requiring efficient traffic control, Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, and robust Layer 2 management capabilities. Designed to support bandwidth-heavy applications such as VoIP, IP surveillance, and wireless access, this switch combines smart functionality with energy-efficient design in a fanless desktop form factor, making it ideal for modern offices and edge environments.

This smart managed switch features 8 x Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 of which support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+, delivering a total power budget of 80W. This allows for seamless powering of PoE-enabled devices like IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones directly through Ethernet cabling—reducing installation costs and infrastructure clutter. With a switching capacity of 16 Gbps, the DGS-1100-08P ensures lightning-fast connectivity for simultaneous traffic from multiple devices.

Advanced Layer 2 features such as QoS (Quality of Service), VLAN segmentation (Voice and Surveillance VLAN), IGMP Snooping, Spanning Tree Protocol, and Link Aggregation empower IT administrators to optimize, prioritize, and segment their network traffic with precision. These capabilities ensure low-latency performance and secure traffic isolation for critical business applications. The easy-to-use web-based GUI simplifies network configuration and monitoring, even for non-expert users.

Additionally, the fanless metal housing ensures silent operation, making it suitable for office desktops or meeting rooms. Environmentally conscious businesses will appreciate the Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and D-Link Green Technology, which dynamically adjust power usage to reduce energy consumption without impacting network performance.

Offered at 7stores.au, this switch is backed by a 3-year limited warranty and supported by a brand known for reliable business networking. It’s the perfect balance of cost, functionality, and performance for forward-thinking SMBs.
